“Echoforms” Project Based on the Texts of Adam Mickiewicz Now on YouTube

“Echoforms” is an original project by Joachim Mencel that combines the Romantic heritage with the language of contemporary jazz. Its point of departure is selected passages from “The Books of the Polish Nation and of the Polish Pilgrimage”, adapted for vocal performance while preserving the meaning, style, and rhetorical structure of the original text. The project represents a conscious engagement with the classical tradition—understood as a living cultural heritage—and its creative confrontation with contemporary musical sensibility.
